Speaking about the graduate programs in the United States of America, the great attention to the religious graduate programs should be paid. This sphere is not well developed that is why it needs some additional spread of word; therefore, I decided to dwell upon this very topic in my article.
The religious graduate programs are divided into two basic directions: study of theology and religious study. As a rule, PhD degrees are provided by the universities, however, some notable seminary exceptions exist.
Such religious graduate programs one can find at the following educational institutions: Harvard, Yale, Chicago, Notre Dame, Duke University, Emory, Vanderbilt, The Claremont Graduate University School of Religion, Princeton Theological Seminary, Fuller Theological Seminary, and Union Theological Seminary in New York. In addition to this list, a public University of Virginia should be mentioned, however there the more attention is paid to the academic study than to the practical theology.
While speaking about the accreditation of such programs, it is reasonable to mention that not only accredited, but also non-accredited religious graduate programs exist. So, if you do not want to have diploma mills, I recommend you to check whether this or that educational institution you are going to enter is an accredited one or not.
